Sounds good Nick. Getting more into sampling like this (or old school before that) has been on my mind but I never quite seem to gel with it. I like the simplicity of this approach. I've been having fun lately with AUM, mostly connecting hardware with Harmony Bloom and Loopy Pro. HB can create some crazy beats using some percussion presets with heavy FX on my Kurzweil and letting HB do its thing.
Hi jason! I have been having a lot of fun with it because it has encouraged me to explore classic sounds more deeply and marry them up with little recordings from other sources. You end up creating tracks from material that spans multiple decades together with some sounds created yesterday on a synth of my own.
HB is a phenomenal app isn’t it and I haven’t yet tried it with a piece of hardware, I don’t think, will try that this evening and perhaps take along to ModCaf tomorrow evening.
Thanks Mark, I’m getting more and more into sampling, creating lo-fi beats. Grabbing little gems from old vinyl and combining those with some sampled synths, drum machines etc.
